Evan Longoria, Rays Decide Not Ready For The Show

Applying Rays logic , which is faulted at best Evan Longoria will start the season at Durham. They claim this is a baseball decision, but we know better. It a money decision , it always is for the Rays. If Evan Longoria was a New York Yankee he would be occupying a spot in the house that Ruth built. This decision not only effects than Rays fans but also the players on the team. The Rays have put together a team that can actually compete with some of the other teams in the AL. They have a young strong staff with a lot of potential as well as some bats and speed in the lineup that can score some runs. If you add Longoria to the middle of the lineup you have some potential to do some damage. This is what a young franchise like the Rays need to grow. To grow their fan base and to grow their confidence. Much of baseball is made by the players club house and the Rays just knocked the wind out of them with this unfortunate decision. This is not the first time the Rays have done this. They pissed off Delmon Young by leaving him in the minors for an extra year as well as B.J. Upto n. We are hoping Longoria gets brought up sooner than later and it does not destroy the young mans confidence.
