Top 5 Baseball Card Prices of All Time
Baseball card prices have skyrocketed over the past 10 years. We did a survey and asked hundreds of dealers of what the top 10 most prominent baseball cards of all time are worth. Below we will discuss and give you a little bit of background history of why each baseball card is priced the way it is. Just remember a prices were tallied over the past six months. Due to the fact that all these cards are Old vintage Baseball cards we do not expect old baseball cards to have fluctuated in that period of time.
1952 Topps Mickey Mantle Baseball Card
Priced at $20,000-$25,000
The 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle Baseball Card is one of the most popular baseball cards ever produced. This is not Mickey Mantle's rookie card but actually his first Topps Baseball Card. this card was brought forth to collecting prominence in the early 1990s. Baby boomers have flocked to this card as a remembrance of the great Yankee slugger. This card is one of the most valuable postwar baseball cards ever produced.
1933 Goudey Babe Ruth Baseball Card #53
Priced at $6,000- $6,500
This is one of Babe Ruth's most popular baseball cards. In 1933 Goudey version depicts George Herman Babe Ruth on the front of this old baseball card gem. Finding accurate baseball card prices of any Babe Ruth baseball card is not an easy task due to his immense popularity and active dealers buying these rare baseball cards at astronomical prices.
1949 Leaf Satchell Paige
Priced at $7,500 -$8,000
This rare gem produced of the Negro league great is one of Satchel's best baseball cards ever produced. Leaf created this card in 1949 with a limited print run that was released only in Canada. This card is extremely hard to find in good condition and if you happen to find one in NM-MT condition you have struck gold. With a Satchel Paige being one of the cornerstone players of baseball history this baseball card is sure to continue to rise in the next 10 to 15 years
1909 T206 White Border Honus Wagner
Priced at $500,000 - $1 Million Dollars
As baseball card prices continue to rise the T206 Honus Wagner is considered to be the greatest baseball card of all time. Rumor state and only 100 of these cards were ever produced. Only 10 of these rare baseball cards have been found indecent condition. The last recorded Wagner sold for $1.4 million in a recent card auction. The rumor is the Hall of Fame baseball great was against cigarette smoking so be cigarette company had to pull all of his baseball cards from the back of the cigarette packs. These cards were used to help promote cigarettes which Wagner did not want to take part in. This baseball card will continue to be the most valuable baseball card ever to have been produced.
1933 Goudey Nap Lajoie
Priced at $50,000- $100,000
This rare prewar baseball card was supposedly help out of the original 1933 Goudey baseball card set. The only way to presumably received this card was to send in a request to the Goudey company to help you finish your set. Most people were not that much into baseball cards when the set was produced. Goudey stated that the remainder Lajoie Cards that remained at the factory were destroyed the following year.
