The 1986-87 Fleer Michael Jordan Rookie Card is the holy grail of basketball cards. Even after his retirement Michael Jordan’s basketball cards are stilling selling for good money both graded and ungraded. The only basketball card that compares with the Jordan rookie card is the 1980-81 Topps Magic/Bird Rookie. The question is will the Jordan rookie continue to hold its value. With many counterfeit cards are popping up and it is becoming very dangerous to buy this card ungraded. Ungraded versions sell for $200-$600 so make sure you know what you are purchasing. There have been many counterfeits being pawned off as the real thing on sites like ebay. If you happen to purchase one that is ungraded and you later find out it is a fake understand that ebay won’t get involved and neither will paypal.
Michael Jordan Rookie Card vs Lebron James Rookie Card
Lebron James is being often compared to the great Michael Jordan. The only problem his Lebron has not won a title yet and if he cannot win a championship he will always be second best. Lebron’s rookie cards are selling for about half of Michael Jordan’s Fleer Rookie. If Lebron can take the cavaliers to a championship his cards might surpass the great Jordan.
Michael Jordan Rookie cards will always be worth a lot of money and your investment is probably a safe one. He will always be known as one of if not the best player ever to wear a basketball uniform and one of the clutch players to ever play for the Chicago Bulls.
