Baseball Card Grading

June 27, 2008

Baseball Card Grading can be a shot in the dark if you do not know what too look for before submitting. Here are some key tips to know before having your baseball cards graded.

Pricing the Baseball Card

Before submitting a card to have graded you might want to check what the card is worth. You can go directly to ebay.com to see what cards are selling for any what they are worth. You can also check what a certain grade of the individual baseball card or football might bring. You should do your homework before submitting to make sure you dont waste your rime and or money.

What might the Baseball Card Grade ?

I understand that you might be asking yourself what do I need a grading card company for if I need to try to evaluate the grade myself. Even though the question is valid GMA looks at a given card under a certain given criteria to evalute the grade of the card, You should look over the Grading scale page and with the naked eye view the card honestly and try to guess what the card would grade. If you look at the card and believe the card would grade to your liking it is worth submitting the card to have graded. Some people submit cards that are creased and expect to get 9’s and 10’s out of them which just doesn’t happen. This is why we make the recommendation.

I have recently started collecting cards again after not doing it for 10 or so years. I don’t own a card shop and I was curious as if I have to own a card shop to get my cards graded? If I do not need to own a shop or business, how would I go about getting my cards graded and how much would it cost? Hope you can help. Thanks
